- Nursing Facilities- Facilities that hire CNAs will often pay for individuals to take CNA training. In exchange for becoming employed with the facility, you new employer will often pay for your training and may even pay you for the time you spend training. Contact the human resource departments of medical facilities in your area. They will be able to inform you of any opportunities available to you.
- Displaced Homemakers- Are you a displaced homemaker? If so, you may be able to receive free CNA training from your state. Oklahoma is one state within the U.S. that provides tuition assistance to homemakers who no longer have an income because they are divorced or their spouse or partner has died. Government employment agencies will be able to help you figure out whether free CNA training is available to you. You may also be able to take advantage this type of tuition assistance if you are receiving unemployment and are not at fault for it.
- Right At Home- A home health agency called Right at Home provides free training to individuals who wish to become home health aides or personal care aides. While this isn’t the same as CNA training, and no certification is earned, the job duties and salaries are basically the same.
